در این گزارش و گزارش آتی بر پایه مجموعه‌ای از گزارش‌های جدید بین‌المللی ( Senn-Kalbatista & Mehta, 2023) و (Dutta & Lanvin, 2023)) تلاش شده است، مجموعه‌ ای از آخرین آمار و اطلاعات حوزه انقلاب چهارم صنعتی، دسته‌ بندی، تحلیل و ارايه گردد. هدف آن است که تصویری کلان و عملیاتی از حوزه انقلاب چهارم صنعتی ایجاد شود تا تصمیم‌ سازان و مدیران بخش خصوصی و دولتی بتوانند به ارزابی جایگاه کشور و رسته‌ های کسب و کاری آن در دنیای جدید اقدام نماید. با توجه به روند شتابان تغییرات مبتنی بر فناوری‌ های انقلاب چهارم صنعتی، هم بخش دولتی و هم بخش خصوصی و حتی بنگاه‌ های کسب و کار، نیازمند اطلاع دقیق از روندهای فناوری و آخرین آمار و اطلاعات به روز در این حوزه می‌ باشند تا با دیدی باز، اقدام به اتخاذ تصمیمات مناسب و پیمودن مسیر تحول دیجیتال نمایند، چرا که بدون راهبرد و برنامه عملیاتی مناسب، بیم آن می‌ رود که حیات کسب و کارها و اقتصاد کشور با تهدید جدی مواجه شده و مزیت‌ های رقابتی آنها بیش از پیش کاهش یافته و جایگاه آن ها در اقتصاد منطقه‌ ای و جهانی به کلی از دست برود. لذا امید است این گزارشات بتواند حساس‌سازی و آگاه‌سازی مناسبی در خصوص میزان عمق و نفوذ فناوری‌های انقلاب چهارم صنعتی در اقتصاد جهانی ایجاد نماید.
