باتوجه به پیشرفت فناوری و مطرح شدن چاپگرهای سه بعدی این سوال پیش می‏ آید که استفاده از این فناوری‏ ها تا چه اندازه برای پیشرفت در ساخت‏ و ساز لازم است؟ در این مقاله به معرفی ویژگی‏ های چاپگرهای سه بعدی که می‏ تواند آینده صنعت ساخت‏ و ساز در آینده نزدیک را متحول کنند، توضیح داده شده و برخی از مزایای این تکنولوژی از جمله کاهش هزینه و زمان، کاهش آلودگی‏ های ‏زیست محیطی، کاهش مصرف انرژی و ... مطرح شده است. اهمیت بررسی این موضوع باتوجه روند شتابان تکنولوژی در عصر انقلاب صنعتی چهارم و به‏ کارگیری این فناوری در جایی مثل ایران که منطقه زلزله ‏خیز است، دوچندان می‏ شود. می‏ توان گفت ساخت خانه با چاپگرهای سه بعدی که سرعت ساخت را بالا می‏ برد برای ما حیاتی است؛ چراکه به کمک آن می‏توان به سرعت برای مردم زلزله‏ زده و مناطق محروم با هزینه کم، مصرف انرژی پایین و با حداقل میزان گازهای گلخانه‏ ای تولید شده، محل اسکان تهیه کرد.

Because with its help, it is possible to provide housing for people affected by earthquakes and deprived areas quickly with low cost, low energy consumption and with the lowest amount of greenhouse gases produced.
